IS-GYO INTERNATIONAL
FINANCE CENTER, ISTANBUL

The IS-GYO International Finance Center is envisioned as a new commercial office center for the bank's real estate development arm at the new Istanbul International Financial Center.  The building's design explores the Turkish traditions of wall, opening and screen in a contemporary vocabulary of stone, metal and glass. The building is entered at two primary levels,  the grade level for the visitor via  vehicle and the second level via a large pedestrian park and plaza.

The new building design includes a stone podium structure, that houses two floors of retail amenity program and fronts the park plaza. The podium employs an extensively planted roof terrace for both indoor and outdoor dining for the building.  Similarly, a tower roof terrace and planted tree garden is also available to tenants at the top of the building.

A linear, internal atrium opens throughout the building's interior, bringing daylight and views to the interior of the typical floor plan.  Paired interior and exterior two-story tree garden atria articulate the discrete east and west elevations, providing each office floor with morning and afternoon naturally ventilated lounge spaces for meeting.
LEED certified pending, the building targets 30% reduced energy usage, 25% water reduction and a 15% reduction of CO2 per year, and features high-efficiency boilers, building automated systems, controls, and recycled materials.
